Her Story

For those of you who don't know me, I was born in California and lived in Del Rio my whole life, until I left for college in 2006. I came to Texas A&M Corpus Christi and where I received my Nursing degree. During nursing school I met Dominique, which is how I came to meet my soon to be hubby Dj. Little did I know that when I met Dj I would end up marrying him some day. We met in November 2011 when a couple of us nursing students and Dj went on a trip to San Antonio/Austin to rid of that school stress. It was not right away that we started dating. Actually I never spoke to him again after that trip until he messaged me during Christmas break. And it wasn't until he moved to Corpus that we started hanging out and talking. Our first date was February 11, 2012 and for my favorite, SUSHI! When he asked me he had me at sushi. It took a couple of tries in order for us to start hanging out due to me being busy with school but he kept making an effort which said a lot about him right away. After he asked me to be his girlfriend a couple times I finally said yes on April 4, 2012. It didn't take long for me to fall for this guy although I didn't realize it right away. It took a trip to the mall. Dj and I had our first trip and probably the only of maybe 5 times to the mall. Shockingly HE was the one who asked me to go with him. Outside the mall as we crossed the street he blurted out the words "I LOV..." then changed the subject right away. Two weeks later I asked him about what he was going to say that day and I blurted the words I Love you to him and we've said it everyday to each other since. I am so blessed to have him in my life. We have been through so much together in the span of over 3 years. Through thick and thin he has been my strongest supporter and I am beyond grateful. I can't wait to be married to you! Love you!

His Story​
​Hello everybody and welcome to our website and soon to be wedding. My name is Daniel Marquez, most of you know me by my nickname DJ. I was born a military child in San Diego, California where my father was in the navy. We moved every 4 years and eventually my dad retired in Portland, Texas in 2004 and has been there ever since. I first saw Amanda 7 years later in October of 2011 at a Halloween party. I did not muster up the courage to talk to her but I did meet their cool friend Albert that day. Later that night, after some drinking, Albert told me I should add his friends Clarissa and Amanda on my facebook. I went ahead and did so not thinking anything of it really but turns out they both accepted my request even though they didn't really know me. Turns out, Amanda claims the only reason she accepted was because Clarissa already accepted me and so she thought that since Clarissa knew me it was ok to add me. Then not long after that night, my friend Dom planned a trip to San Antonio and Austin to go see ATB and then hang out on 6th street. I tagged along and sure enough Amanda was there too. This was when I actually got a chance to talk to her and get to know her a little. After the trip we did not really talk much after until December when SHE started texting ME. I know she says it was I but that is not what I recall. But I will agree with her story because I am getting married soon and apparently I have to get used to her being right so it's all good. Anyways, we started hanging out here and there and eventually I moved to Corpus with my friend Dom and we started hanging out everyday. It took a couple tries but eventually she caved and decided to date me. Yes, it is true, I was the first one to say I love you but I just could not help it, I loved her. And to this day she has been my rock, my supporter, my best friend, and my girlfriend and soon to be wife. I love her so much and I cannot wait to start our lives together!
